Auto Stop / Start Eliminator

When the device was plugged in none of my hvac controls worked. Also, the backlights on the hvac buttons turned on for no reason. When I unplugged the device everything went back to normal. The 4DTech team thought is might be a grounding issue with the device. I guess now I will never know. lol!

Thanks for sharing the symptoms. I also have the 4DTech and it's been pretty flawless - however, I had what I thought was an HVAC issue (would not blow warm) afterwards but with more driving it turns out that's not the case.

I received the 4D Auto/Stop Eliminator last week. So far I've been unable to fit my fat fingers behind the plug and release the clip. One of my sons is coming up for Father's Day, so maybe he get it released.

It is a bit tricky to release. The release is in the middle of the clip. I recall that I studied new plug to see how it released.

Yeah, I watched the video 3-4 times and still could not get it to release. I suspect my hands are not as flexible as they once were.

I ordered thowe chinese ones on the 26th and they are here today. Wow.

Tracking still shows them in los angeles.

I opted for the 4D Tech eliminator as well. I just installed it at lunch. Working as expected. Also, it may be installed in line with the perimeter security plus module as well. Both the perimeter security plus and the 4D tech eliminator plug into the gateway module.

Installed my 4DTech eliminator today. Took about 5 minutes and works flawlessly.

Installed the cheap chinese ebay one. Works great also though it doesnt look as cool as the 4d one

Since everyone else seems to be having a great experience with the 4DTech unit I purchased another one. It is installed and is working correctly! I think the conclusion that the first one I purchased had some sort of grounding issue makes sense. Happy no ASS...

It only took about a week with my new Ranger for me to decide that the auto start/stop feature needed the boot. I went with the 4DTech and it's been flawless. The install video that 4DTech posted to Youtube eliminated all the guess work. I was scratching my head at how fast it actually installed. And its "programmable" nature is a nice touch.

I took the glove box apart and had the same problem with my fingers. Showed my daughter the video and in two minutes she had it all done. Size does matter,lol

I have an appointment with the local dealership to have the 4DTech installed tomorrow morning. My sons were up to see me on Father's Day and I thought one of them might be able to install it. At 6'4" and 6'7" I was reaching for the moon. Anyway, points will cover the hour of installation.
