  1. Windshield replacement experiences?

Is the distortion apparent when seated in the driver's seat? If so, is the distortion directly in front of the driver's seat? They would likely do a visual test and compare to another Ranger on the lot.
  2. Unbelievable gas mileage in 2025 2.7 with ProCal, S&B, and Borla

The 2.7L does not have a MAF. Airflow=f(MAP,IAT,RPM,VE) Octane matters. How much? It's not that simple. As stated, the Ford specs are based on premium fuel. Higher octane allows more spark advance in the ignition cycle, which is more efficient combustion and keeps the maximum brake torque...
  3. Borla Vs. Ford Performance exhaust...

Borla manufactures the "Ford Performance" exhaust for Ford. I'm surprised someone said you may install the tune yourself and retain the warranty.
  4. Truck died making a right turn....

Dealer won't find anything, but best to see if there were any codes. I'd suggest reporting to NHTSA. It's going to take someone getting hurt before Ford does anything. I've had the throttle input go dead for a couple seconds in a slow speed turn as well. Others have reported similar experiences.
  5. Ford achieves quality milestone

As long as they keep overpaid union workers that are just going through the motions and are difficult to let go, while requiring more and more poka yoke processes, i don't see it improving. Hopefully, I'm wrong.
  6. Wheel well screws - Gotta be doing something wrong

This. Very light pressure on the screw when attempting to unthread. Once you get it out a few turns twist the head with your fingers. The goal is avoid rotating the outer part and to avoid applying inward pressure on the screw. They can be a pain.
  7. Leveled the 2026 Raptor & didn't need to re-aim headlights... NICE.

You can utilize Forscan and do it yourself. There are videos of VDM calibration. It's quite easy if done correctly. If you are not comfortable, a dealer should be able to do it.
  8. Leveled the 2026 Raptor & didn't need to re-aim headlights... NICE.

The manual isn't going to say anything about calibration because Ford doesn't want the truck leveled. You need to calibrate VDM. Maybe HCM, if the Raptor has that. Then you'll need to adjust headlights.
  9. 2026 Lariat FX4 - 2-2.5in Level - 2 Questions about Headlight adjustment and tires?

I've leveled my 2025 lariat and got 265/70R18 tires. If changing tire size, unless a dealer will change tire circumference, forscan or Procal to the rescue. I started with changing wheel circumference first. Vehicle speed plays a part in more than just the speedometer. The 24 and 25 lariat...
  10. Aftermarket rear diff cover Non raptor

Agreed. I still had ~1.5x thread OD of thread engagement. If not, I'd get 5mm longer fasteners.
  11. Aftermarket rear diff cover Non raptor

Here is the procedure. (Model year 2025) 😉
  12. Aftermarket rear diff cover Non raptor

Yes, it came with a gasket, the same type of flat gasket the Ford Performance cover uses. The OEM gasket is reusable if not messed up. I purchased and used a new OEM just in case.
  13. Quoted $540 for spark plug replacement!!! And $330 for induction cleaning.

My 2025 Ford workshop manual only mentions port injection and direct injection for the 2.3L and 2.7L. The 3.0L only mentions direct injection. Note the image below. This section is part of 303-04C which references the direct injection fuel rail. There is no port injection fuel rail.
  14. Ford Mounted Front Shocks Backwards?!

I went ahead and uninstalled and reinstalled per the workshop manual orientation. Also, Eibach's zinc coating is not great, so i took the opportunity to scuff up the zinc some and sprayed 2K clear coat on the shocks.
  15. Ford Mounted Front Shocks Backwards?!

I would presume it matters since the lower perch is angled. And the angle of the shock, since the control arm connection is outboard of the shock top mount? I have a feeling Ford put it in the workshop manual for a reason.
  16. Ford Mounted Front Shocks Backwards?!

Does anyone have pictures of their stock front spring orientation on XL, XLT, or Lariat? Preferably an FX4.
  17. Ford Mounted Front Shocks Backwards?!

I happen to get a look at the workshop manual after doing a level on my truck. I mounted my Eibach shocks with the lower perch in the same orientation as it was stock. Looking at the shop manual it looks like Ford had them mounted backwards. My LH side was facing the rear and my RH side was...
  18. 360 camera and leveling

Also, I hope nobody has to deal with a horrible dealer like my local one. I was having recalls done Monday and mentioned that the truck is leveled with slightly larger tires. Asked if they could verify if anything required calibration. They basically claim they cannot do anything with IPMA (360...
  19. 360 camera and leveling

For the Raptor, yes. There is a calibration done within the Vehicle Dynamics Module (VDM), which performs calibration on all four wheels. The Lariat does not have a VDM and only has height sensors connected at the RF and RR suspension. I haven't come across information if any calibration is...
