Yes, it came with a gasket, the same type of flat gasket the Ford Performance cover uses.

The OEM gasket is reusable if not messed up. I purchased and used a new OEM just in case.
Problem with using the OEM gasket with aftermarket covers and their hardware designed around either a thin flat gasket or RTV, you loose about 5mm of grip length with the attachment fasteners.

May or may not be a factor but will depend on how hard someone wheels their vehicle and smashes on the diff cover.

Agreed. I still had ~1.5x thread OD of thread engagement. If not, I'd get 5mm longer fasteners.
