In the rest of the world, the VW Amarok is just (mostly) a rebadged Ranger. Guess we shall see what comes to the North American market when the time comes.

I would expect that's what they do. Ford seems to be going dual injection with all the motors.
The 2.7 has been Ford's bread and butter for the last few years. This is definitely an interesting turn of events. If the F-150 is losing the 2.7 I wonder if this will be the death of that powerplant...
The 2.7 Ecoboost remains one of the most reliable engines Ford makes. That said, anything made by man can break. As appears to be the case here. That said, there are literally millions of them out on the road right now doing the Lords work.
