Windshield replacement experiences?

Most dealers don't actually do the replacement; they sub it out to a glass shop.
Which is OK. What you really want is OEM glass, not one from secondary market.
You might have to fight the insurance company on getting OEM.

I also have distortion....I am going to show the service mgr , at my local dealer....I thought it was something I had to live with. Has anyone had a successful dealer experience and got replacement?

Is the distortion apparent when seated in the driver's seat? If so, is the distortion directly in front of the driver's seat?

They would likely do a visual test and compare to another Ranger on the lot.

My dealer replaced my windshield with a new OEM. It has distortion too. I haven't gone back to complain, but it really is crappy. They had to get a Ford approval for the first one. A second will probably be more hassle. It took them a week to order and replace. I just wish it was clear like every other car I have owned.
