I mostly tow it with the motorhome but have it set up for the Ranger for when I want to drop one of them off somewhere so I have a way to get home.
I wouldn't be afraid to tow a 2 door with a Raptor as long as you stay under all your numbers. Flat towing especially since there is virtually no...
A Karga shelf for the back seat, and an armrest booster for long drives because the armrest is too low for comfort and the sill is too high. I do wish someone would make a custom armrest booster just for the Ranger, Mine is stuck on with Nano tape.
Yep, a shovel, jack and common sense will get you through. I always said off road abilities are 25% equipment and 75% know how.
I drove a 2WD Toyota pickup through sand all the time. Threw some plywood in the back just in case.
Anyone ever see the Matt's Offroad video where he got called out...
I also carry high deductibles on all my insurance policies, the highest possible. It makes good financial sense and keeps the rates down.
IMO insurance is for the big catastrophic events that could negatively change your life if you didn't have it. That was the original idea behind insurance of...
Got rid of my F350 Powerstroke because it was bigger than my needs called for, planned on getting an F150 till I test drove one and discovered it was just as big as the F350 so decided on a Ranger. I did go look at and drive Chevy and Toyota just to confirm the Ford was best choice, although I...
I'm happy with mine. The best part is you don't have to do anything like remove it and hide it when parking. The only thing you have to remember is to format the card once in awhile. The video is not shaky at all and the trim fits tightly.
I added a small red bump dot to the button you press to...
My 2 door Wrangler excels at certain things like narrow trails with hairpin turns, short and steep ravine and river crossings and easy parking anywhere in town while my Ranger excels at other things, like soft beach sand, comfortable highway driving and carrying stuff. So you really need both!
I guess for me it was the beach in Mexico. Prior to the Ranger I had an F350 4x4 and a Jeep TJ (which I still have) and took both on the beach. Both did OK with common sense and experience. But the Ranger was amazing. Never have I driven a 4x4 that was so capable in soft sand and deep pebble...
Magsafe copy here, with my Android phone and Magsafe copy case the charge level is just right and I don't get a lot of heat. More of a maintaining charge than a recharge.
(I used a side mount console insert from Digital Twin)
I know you said it might have something to do with the truck's proximity sensors but did you happen to notice if the trucks had angled side markers halfway up the side of the trailer? We have an Infiniti that will try to slow down when we pass a rig with those angled side markers, day or night.
On the driver's side, it pops off if I brush against it entering and exiting, won't stay put. I've tried using a mallet or fist to pound which seems to make it tighter for a bit but it always pops off again later. Admittedly I had it removed when I pulled the threshold to get to the wiring in...
There used to be shops that could balance the wheel and tire assembly on the vehicle, not sure if you can find that anywhere these days though. That could rule the hub difference out.
Other than that maybe look for a set of takeoffs for testing then resell when finished.
I have always owned XLT. I do not like leather seats, or simulated leather seats. Give me cloth and I'll put nice covers on them. Take care of them and they'll last a decade or longer. I got everything I wanted in XLT. If I recall Lariat was going to be like $6K more?
