The air stream helps evacuate some of the problematic wheel turbulence towards the rear. It makes some aerodynamic advantage: The less air is there swirling, the less energy spent on moving turbulent air by the turning wheel.
Remember: at the OPPOSITE side of the power plug, there are some pre-threaded bolt holes (for mounting an air compressor) that could be used for additional cargo rings. or support a basket or side cargo wing.
Sold my 2nd gen taco, it was feeling incredibly old and rough. Went to toyota and the new its TERRIBLE. No rear seat space, no rear AC, white fabric seats in a 4x4? WTF! Awful styling, plasticky, bad screen, uninspiring audio, awful front and sides styling...
Went to Ford, checked a F150 and...
VW 1.8T. Put a K&N at 30k miles. The car ended burning 1 quart of oil every 1000 miles. The intake and ducts were all soiled on fine dust, excellent for grinding every metal piece on the pistons.
K&N is thrash.
The mental gymnastics to many people to want to mess with one of the most balanced off road truck offerings ever is astonishing. The truck even has position sensors on the rear suspension. Its not like the tacoma who is as analog as a hammer. The RR its a very well calibrated machine who...
Outside USA, the Ranger 6g IS NOT MADE IN AUSTRALIA, its made either in South Africa or Thailand, so Ford doesnt need any factory or anything else on Australia. Ford closed the last australian factory in 2016. So just needs to import the truck there from thailand. There wont be any shock on...
For the sponsors: You could search on google trends the amount of search request for every topic on the car or truck models, then run some numbers on margins on each item and youll know what the market needs.
Youre asking for a quite small portion of enthusiasts THAT ARE REGISTERED AND USING...
I miss too mucho the Tacoma 2015 rear seat flat fold feature with plastic back, for my dog and carrying groceries in the cab. And miss the storage behind and under the rear seat of that toyota.
The ranger steering wheel controls are badly placed. Volume and skip track buttons are in each side...
No diesel for Wildtrak (MX)
They have BETTER headlights. Seen them first hand. $ 54,800 usd (direct conversion)
Wildtrak 4x4 with 4A Awd differential, leather, rear rollbar and side bed bars, electric sliding tonneau (super useful i have it), rear bed steps, only rear backup camera, black...
To add an insult to the injury, the Wildtrak 4x4 version offered in Mexico, has the Ranger Raptor Headlights (Double projector). The electric sliding tonneau, and some other stuff not available in US. Also, The truck is sourced from Ford South Africa plant, codenamed 703P.
Congrats on your truck, niche choice man.
IDEAS:
Get some chinese tray mats, there are some threads on cheap good ones.
Maybe a raptor style grill.
yellow led DRLs.
Leather covers. Cleaning made super easy.
A manual sliding tonneau cover to close the bed (super super useful, more than a...
Wonderful mats. They look pretty good and absolutely decent for that amount of money. Great find.
I also bought no-brand mats for my '25 Wildtrak. VERY GOOD as yours.
I had some Husky mats on CRV 2019 "rubber type" and they sagged in from the sides. Then got the Husky plasticky firm version...
I think it might be fixed. It would need to be pulled out of the car, and inspected by dissasembling. Maybe without the plastic shell you could bend back the female pins of the offender so it makes good contact.
Or with a female hair pin (hardened steel) you could pull back the female pin...
... Ranger Wildtrak 4x4 models available in Mexico have an OEM electric retractable tonneau that coupled with a stock OEM plastic bedliner with seals on the tailgate.
There are similar aftermarket tonneaus like this. I would go with the manual one. Its still quite good and secure. It also...
THERE IS A CASE FOR PUTTING BACK the wastegate air into the air intake plenum. It will push to towards the turbo for a brief moment, being beneficial for turbo response on quick OFF-ON accelerator presses.
With a Blow off valve, the turbo would be ALWAYS pulling air without the momentarily...
The proper way is ALWAYS ALIGN after wheels and tire change. After all, they are a system along with the suspension. It might not be done if you want it, but it should be done to prevent premature wear of tires IF something is wrong. Your call...
25' Wildtrak here. Nicely quiet on the road. Added dynamat type thing on the front doors when upgrading 6x9 doors. The truck got noticeable quieter.
The days where im tired of the daily grind, i thank a quiet silent ride. Its a godsend.
Everything looks super well integrated. The subwoofer is installed in the perfect place. You could run with the rear seat folded up and the thing will sound free and tight. And the sound taken from a digital source, oh my. Great great setup. I guess it sounds quite well.
