  1. Headroom for a 6'0" guy

Being at tall person The front window pillar sloping back causes issues to get in. I have to put my head in first. It may help to have the truck lifted.
  2. Rocky Road Outfitters Rock Sliders for Ranger

I was not too happy the Pinch weld system was off. As you can see i damaged the pinch weld in just one area. Knew when to stop. I expect them to attach correctly to pinch weld. How many people have access to a 90 degree drill. Plus you have to have equipment around to cut a drill in half. Then...
  3. Rocky Road Outfitters Rock Sliders for Ranger

i am a Machinist. I contacted Rocky Road Adventures and told and showed them of how the welding fixture needed to be adjusted to make the Pinch Weld part of it work correctly. An adjustment of 1/8" up on holes and front two brackets moved in 1/8". I wanted to improve the Pinch weld system for...
  4. What are the Ford Corrosion Protection Requirements for Drivetrain Parts?

I ordered my XLT. No rust on Drive Shaft. I painted it and went over with a brush on the fasteners that rust. Like the ones on the brake backing plates. The mufflers rust out. Still want to spray it with some heat paint.
  5. Ford Bed Extender - Dirt Bike?

Yes the bed extender will flip into box. I have this one for many years. Ramp/ Bed extender. Ready Ramp. A good item for motorcycles is an angle iron bracket with tie down points close to tire. i purchased one, it had a tire cut out also. goes behind cab high on bed. I could not find the...
  6. Don’t buy Rocky Road Sliders

It does not seem to be mentioned that the pinch weld sytem is not designed correctly. Look at the pictures of the gap from the pinch weld on @Icemilkteaa Raptor. I sent Rocky Road Outfitters a message to there Plant Manager Matt Frisby. Showing them the issue with the pinch weld system and...
  7. Highway operating temperatures 2.3L

It would have been nice if Ford put some increments on those gauges. At least give us a reference of what half way reads. I guess if you are right at the top then there's a problem.
  8. Rocky Road Outfitters Rock Sliders for Ranger

I do not like the mixing of Metric and Standard. I put a drop of Red Loctite on M10 Bolts. Did not tighten them with Torque Wrench. I have learned that from working on motorcycles. No 1/2" drive. With 3/8" drive I tighten them firmly. Would have liked the sliders to stick out a bit more. I...
  9. Rocky Road Outfitters Rock Sliders for Ranger

I did not wish to show this photo picture. A mess. Created large Burrs. Hard to remove. I made sure I painted this to seal it. Did this once then stopped.
  10. Rocky Road Outfitters Rock Sliders for Ranger

If members are having them made which takes 2 months, I would send them this thread and say these modifications need to be done. The stepped out at the back mounts does not help. Front two brackets need to be brought in. Holes need to be put higher by 1/8" and backing brackets need to be made...
  11. Rocky Road Outfitters Rock Sliders for Ranger

At the mount the floor pan has these step outs only in this one location. Each side. At Back. On the front two mounts it does not have this step out. They did not consider this in there Fabrication. They should be set closer. Almost needs a spacer there. Because of this bolts are not long enough.
  12. Rocky Road Outfitters Rock Sliders for Ranger

My thoughts: The bolting to the floor pan into the Thread Nut inserts. Aligns up well. 6 Fasteners. Pinch Weld orientation not so good. I do not like trial and error. It would be a lot of work to get the holes centered into the pinch weld. The Drilling of the holes with a 90 Degree drill...
  13. In bed 120v outlet - what's it rated for?

I do know it cannot run power tools.
  14. Caution: RA Ranger Automatic Parking Brake Module

Good info ! Makes sense not to put pressure on the transmission to hold vehicle. I find the delay before the Auto Hold is applied is good. Seems to let you have a light pressure on pedal before Auto Hold is applied. I think I will leave the Auto Hold set to apply. Its easier to have it engage...
  15. Caution: RA Ranger Automatic Parking Brake Module

I turned the Auto Hold off. When not on it will not apply the brakes when parked. Maybe it holds the fluid. The way it seems to release when Auto Hold is on this could be the case. I am not sure how the Electric E Brake works. Is it applying an Actuator to push the pads on. I switched the...
  16. Caution: RA Ranger Automatic Parking Brake Module

Yes, Auto Hold. Just makes things more relaxing. You have to be careful with it. You could touch the pedals by accident and roll into car in front of you. I also think if you drive another car you maybe think you put it on.
  17. Caution: RA Ranger Automatic Parking Brake Module

Yes, I would say so. I have the E Brake hold activated through the screen. Just to clarify that I depress the brake peddle at a stop sign. The light comes on in the bottom right of the gauge cluster. Then it holds and I can take my foot off the brake. Once Parked, when I put it in gear it...
  18. Caution: RA Ranger Automatic Parking Brake Module

I have a late 2025 XLT. My E Brake activates when truck is put in park. i actually do not like the E brake applied every time. Would rather put it on myself. i feel there is too much asked of the e brake. i activated the E brake hold. I find it irritating when you drive away when the truck...
