  1. Is Ford no longer taking orders

False. Ford is still taking orders. However dealers are only given a certain number of Raptor allocations. If the dealerships you spoke to already used their allocations and they don’t have any left, then they’re doing you a favor in not accepting your order because it wouldn’t get scheduled...
  2. My Ranger Raptor is at Michigan AP Photo Shoot

That’s the automatic Ford email many of us received. It means nothing. I received that email in March even though my truck was actually built in January.
  3. Adding Options at Dealership After Delivery

Your first sentence is my assumption as well, but just haven’t been able to see definitively yet. The rest you lost me on. Why would you have to cut the bed? Assuming the holes are there, I would guess it’s a matter of removing the plastic piece currently there and replacing it with the bedside...
  4. Job 2 Changes

On the Long McArthur video tonight they said the Job 2 order guide comes out on Monday the 29th.
  5. Adding Options at Dealership After Delivery

The part numbers for the bedside step are below. The question is whether the trucks without the bedside step option have the holes for it already in the frame/bed or not. I haven’t been able to get a definitive answer yet from any one. Body Side Step - Right —> Part #N1WZ6020040A Body Side Step...
  6. Make sure you check underneath

I wonder when they switched to painted. What was your build date?
  7. Job 2 Changes

I asked a dealer (albeit one that tried to tell me the Ranger on their lot had the 2.7), and they said it couldn’t be added. I would love for that to be proven otherwise. I recall hearing it is built into the frame somehow which is why it can hold 250 lbs or whatever the number is. Salt is not a...
  8. Job 2 Changes

I wouldn’t anticipate anything huge, but generally Ford makes some small tweaks from Job 1 to 2. Those tweaks may or may not impact some buyers and whether they need to find a Job 1 already built or order a Job 2. For me personally, I’m anxiously waiting to hear if they’ll add the option for...
  9. Job 2 Changes

Was really hoping someone would know something…
  10. Order less that 45 days ago and got lucky

What percent tint do you have? It looks good.
  11. Squeaky wheel gets the greasing

Just a suggestion. Have any of you looked in your surrounding area to see if there’s a match to what you ordered either sitting on the dealer lot or in transit? If not, it’s worth a look if you prioritize having your truck faster vs the potential $1k rebate.
  12. Platinum trim in US, any news?

Nothing announced for the US at this point. The bed rack thing can’t come to the US because of the third brake light, but maybe the roof part of the rack will come at some point.
  13. Order Tracker Status

My ordered truck was built the 2nd week of January and arrived at the dealer on March 28th. So some of the initial batches did ship and fairly quickly at that (relative to the date Rangers started to actually ship).
  14. Job 2 Changes

Besides the anticipated 2.7 engine release, does any one know what job 2 changes there might be? I’m hoping Ford allows the bedside step as an option for STX in the US. Apparently they offer it for Canada already.
  15. 2024 Ranger Scheduling This Week (4/18/24) for Production Weeks 6/3 - 6/24

It has my attention too because I’m hoping Ford allows the STX to be optioned with the bedside step for Job 2 in the US.
  16. Some Order Data

    Thank you! I appreciate you
  17. Some Order Data

Can you by chance see how many regular Rangers had the bedside step option? The take rate for that in my area at least seems a lot lower than I expected. Hoping Ford will offer it on the STX in the US for Job 2, but figured that depends on the percentage they have allocated for it.
  18. Possibly canceling order

The box step to me is a deal breaker, so I wouldn’t personally do it. It will make getting in and out of the bed to tie/untie my kayak a lot easier, as well as grabbing things further in the bed. However, since the step is not a deal breaker to you, then you just have to decide how much is it...
