Huge improvement. That was the least attractive thing about the Lariat. I'm still not crazy about the unidirectional wheels that aren't left/right specific, but still looks pretty good with the powder coat.
Interesting. I'll have to try that in my Bronco.
There's a restaurant we often order takeout from. They have an outdoor seating area that's right next to the takeout parking spot. I always pull in there with just my parking lights on, but when I go to start back up, my headlights are right in...
I just got to spend $3K on replacing the cam phasers on my out-of-warranty 3.5 F150, and I also own a 2.7 Bronco. I'm just waiting for that bomb to drop... ?
Good luck with your Raptor... ?
I live in the desert, and that color on the Bronco Sport looks exactly like some of the color you see out here. Whether you want a vehicle that color is a matter of opinion, but it definitely does look like the desert.
You know what I've never seen? A cactus that looks like Cactus Grey...
Other way around for me. Did a little bit of MTB in the 90's, nothing hardcore. Just got back into it 2 years ago, at the age of 59. I've been averaging about 600 miles per year around southern AZ. I'm no pro rider by any stretch, but I can get down a trail, and I'm doing things my 30-year-old...
Like some of the above posts, I buy trucks to do truck stuff. I would never shop an SUV against a truck, because to me they serve different purposes.
That said, if the Everest were to come here, my wife might consider trading the Bronco for one…
Like, maybe a truck that doesn’t have a J-brace under the bed for installing anything heavier than a tonneu cover?
Or a base Bronco 4x4 with no front or rear lockers?
There are all kinds of examples. Does it suck that the standard tow package doesn’t include a brake controller? Sure. But...
We put Toyo AT3's on our Bronco, and they're very nice. No complaints.
Our OEM tires were General Grabbers, and other than being a little small for the Bronco, they were fine tires. Can't go wrong either way.
We put our Grabbers on my nephew's 4Runner, and he's very happy with them...
I agree. I don't really care what the dealer writes down regarding "discounts" or "fees" or any of that crap. What matters is the out-the-door price. In this case, you're paying 600 bucks over MSRP, which sounds pretty damn good to me...
LED projector headlights on Lariat vs. LED reflectors on XLT. Both better than halogens, for sure.
Also, factor in the cost of replacing those Lariat wheels with something attractive... ?
I have to do this in the Bronco when I have a bike rack mounted. Sometimes it takes a few seconds before the "mute button" (?) shows up on the screen...
I've had a very similar thing happen in my F150 a handful of times over the last seven years. It's very disconcerting, but I think it's just a side effect of all the electronics running the show these days.
