Its a sensor linking massive suspension components that see enormous forces. Even if it was metal it would break if you put any of the suspension's forces into it. I'm surprised it gave you errors, my front sensor was broken for who knows how long and never gave me any codes.

I'd bet that 10k miles worth of wear on the KO3 is good for some improvement in the 1/4 as well.

There shouldn't be. My ride height sensors were showing 0" after the rebuild. Its a pretty easy process with Forscan to recalibrate the ride height sensors if something was off. I did need an alignment though.

My shocks starting making some noise around 40k miles, got pretty noisy by 50k miles. Just had them rebuilt and they're quite and feeling much better. Shop that rebuilt them said there was noticeable nitrogen in the oil on 3 out of 4 shocks.

The sensor itself isn't broken, but the linkage between the sensor and the control arm had sheared off. One would think they have some ways of checking for bad data from the sensor, but I guess not.
