I have the R button setup to put the truck in a Go Fast mode; Sport, baja exhaust, sport shocks.
Dumb of Ford to give us a “Raptor mode” button, but make people need to use it to put the truck in a daily driver mode because they don’t give you any other options to save settings.
Eventually...
Doesn't Ford have basically pre-established rates for installation of accessories like the J-Brace? On the Ford accessories website you can add installation to the order of the brackets for $192. I'd be willing to bet the dealer thinks the install isn't worth the $192, so they just decline to do it.
The oem wireless charger has already had overheating problems with my phone. In the past I ran an Apple MagSafe charger in a Proclip mount and never had issues.
Also sometimes the huge screen is harder to use than the phone itself, especially if I could mount the phone up higher.
Probably not, but a friend of mine did the F150 Raptor school a few years ago and some guy in the group did manage to roll a truck....
I haven't bought insurance at track days in years, but I can afford to write off my old shitbox race car. I really can't afford to write off a $60,000 truck, so...
Lack of memory on at least some of the settings is one of my biggest complaints with this truck. And the R button should be a toggle. R for full fuck around mode, then R again for return to normal.
The bigger bumps can be removed by pulling the center headrest out entirely, but yeah it’s not a particularly flat surface, lots of metalwork underneath the fabric.
Mine is already showing some decent wear after a few trips with the dogs kennels sitting on top of it. If it starts wearing all...
Curious if anyone else's Ranger has a random beep coming from the infotainment system?
I need to setup a camera to record this, but I've had a random beep coming the dash/infotainment system. ~1-2 second high pitched beep. It doesn't seem to coordinate with any indications coming from the dash...
My plan is a roll up tonneau cover and some molle panels on the insides of the bed that are permanently installed. This will add some bed organization for day to day and then a place to mount gear for roadtrips.
Planning to build a ~8” high rack with 8020 that mounts to the stake pockets for...
Yup probably every 5-6th drive I get in the car and there’s no audio from CarPlay, have to disconnect and reconnect to get it working.
Also have had a fair number of instances where CarPlay just drops and has to reconnect.
The concept of over the air updates just gives companies the ability to...
This is one of the dealers I was in contact with in May last year. On Tuesday the salesman called me to confirm this truck was on the lot and the buyer had backed out. Said they were selling it at sticker.

This is basically what I plan to do. Can mount a roll-up tonneau cover and then build a T-Track crossbar solution that's highly configurable and way cheaper than whats available on the market.

Yeah I guess Ford is just pretty bad at tuning the system or their torque sensors on the steering rack aren't very sensitive. My previous BMW worked the same way, but it could detect the slightest inputs to the system.
In the Ranger I can jiggle the wheel enough that you can very visibly see...
Its definitely using a torque input to the steering wheel to detect hand presence and its not very sensitive. When driving on pretty straight road, you pretty much have to fight the system to keep it enabled.
I'm curious if this is a problem specific to the Raptor or if the other trims with...
McRee Ford outside Houston just called me to let me know they had a buyer back out of their Raptor and it’s available at sticker. Black with graphics, beadlocks, Berliner and keypad. $59,900 sticker.
