Took it for its first real off road outing after dialling in the suspension.
Mod List:
Camper: Super Pacific X1
Wheels: Method 703 Bronze +35mm
Tires: Falken Wildpeak AT4W 275/70/17
Suspension: Dobinsons 2-3" MRR 3-Way Adjustable Lift Kit
Awning Freespirit 270 degree
Even just 1” in the front leaves not enough functional rake to the truck. I’d go with a proper lift kit like Dobinsons with adjustable pre-load in the struts.
Rear leafs are now on. They are the 600lb option, the Super Pacific alone weighs around 320lbs. I will say this... the truck now rides better than stock. You do not notice the weight of the camper in ride or handling whatsoever, the only difference is in the fuel economy.
The full Dobinsons...
Correct yes, MRR.
currently running stock leafs with block, but have the Dobinsons leafs at home ready to go on. Was just waiting for the camper to be installed. Rear leafs are same as previous gen I believe.
Build is coming together.
Dobinsons full lift kit with remote res shocks.
Method wheels with 275/70/17 Wildpeak AT4W
Super Pacific X1 Camper Black with Tan
It's been confirmed that there are differences between the Australian spec Ranger and N American. The bumpers are not interchangeable. ARB have confirmed they have a N American spec bumper coming out hopefully first half of this year. Ironman too perhaps later on.
Yep, 100%. Comes and goes when you toggle AC on and off.
seen a growing number of posts including Ranger Raptors but no one seems to have reached a fix with Ford yet with them just saying it’s ‘normal’.
The 2.7 is amazing, and because I find the 10 speed is quite low geared anyway, don't really notice any change going up to the 275/75/17. Part of the fact might be that the 275 Falken AT4W is 10lbs lighter than the 285 equivalent. Engine and drivetrain wise, it's barely noticeable. Truck still...
