It's been a little over a year now since tuning my RR. I've driven in snow, ice, below zero temps, over 100 temps, towing, 12 hour road trips, and some off-roading. Extremely happy with the truck, & have had zero issues (nope sorry, I blew a fuse installing the subwoofer). Used it to tow a 22ft car hauler on an 8 hour trip through the Kentucky & North Carolina hills. Really impressed me, and I think the other drivers I went by on cruise control up some step inclines. I wanted to post this as a lot of people had negative comments "ecoboom", about tuning these trucks. We kept the power down, safe torque level for the stock transmission, & I just had the transmission upgraded by Suncoast Performance, & Also we've just upgraded the stock intercooler to the new CVFab unit as well as their Charge pipes. So now we are turning it up for another year of testing. Huge thank you to Adam at ZFG Racing for helping me, & monitoring everything along the way. It was a little scary back in March of 2024 when he used my F150 Raptor ECU to unlock my truck for tuning so that he could help Maxx in Australia become the fastest/most powerful RR (at the time). But having worked with him on 6 or 7 vehicles & him having tuned thousands of these 3.0's worldwide....I said...let's do it! Nathan

CVF makes decent stuff.

Are the charge pipes pre-production version or actually from the 2.7L?

I talked to them back in January and knew the intercooler was coming, but they couldn't give a time-line on the charge pipes.

We’ve ran ProcessWest, Wagner, and now CVFab. So far data is similar.
Pipes are pre-production, But might get released as soon as next week. They’re ready to roll from our standpoint.

Do you ever "launch" your truck by holding the brake? I blew my rear diff doing that as soon as I installed the FP tune. I wasn't sure if it was just a freak think or something to be wary of after upping the torque.

you broke it power braking? i would think power braking would break stuff since vehicles now days have disk brakes front and rear.

Yup! Just held it on the brake and as soon as I let off, clunk, no more drive. I had done it quite a few times before the tune with no issues. For what it's worth I beat on this truck pretty hard, so it wasn't the biggest surprise.

Good to know.
I'll be picking up a set of their pipes once they go live.

I've been following your journey with how you're modding the Ranger Raptor, since it's basically the path I'd love to take, but will slowly piece together, since this is my only 4 wheeled vehicle and a daily when I can't ride the motorcycle.
(I own a condo and don't have the space for another vehicle outside of my motorcycle)

I'll send you a dm with a coupon code for the pipes.

Yep. But learning how to launch and breaking stuff so you guys don't have to. On my other one that has a lot more power I've blew the trans, rear diff, broken both rear axles, and the rear driveshaft. Very expensive lessons.

How many miles did you have on the tune when this happened?

With your aux lights center the cooler intake kinda proves its safe to do so, especially with the summer / winter workout you gave it.
I wanted to put mine there and many in the forum said can't be done due to the opening size the intakes. Kinda made me scratch my head as the 150 eco boys have setup and 100's have added lights with zero issues

I put one 20” single row behind the grill.
Probably the least I’ve done on a vehicle in a while. My F150 Raptors & Superdutys I run two 30” curved bars behind the grills, and a 10” in the hole 🕳 where some states require 2nd license plate.
No issues or differences in temps. I do remove the active shutters when equipped.
