Hello everyone tried out the SB air intake filter for the 2.7 Bronco on my 2.7 Ranger and it does work, it's a little different install process so I will try to detail it out here as well as include pics!

1) Remove 4 Torx30 bolts on the stock air box lid, I didn't use an attachment the bolts are fairly long but came off quick with my power screwdriver.

2) Remove 1 Torx30 bolt for the air intake inlet. This one only has one bolt compared to the bronco, take it off and the inlet comes right off very easy.

3)Remove stock air filter, insert SB filter. The fitment is tight you will have to shimmy/angle it to get it seated but once it's on it's on it's definitely not going anywhere.

There are different ways you can have the air box if you are curious, so I posted a pic of that as well just for fun

I just installed one as well. Super easy. Tight fit. Hoping the 2.7 gets a CAI in the near future!

Oh, interesting. How many miles do you have in your truck so far? I'm still in the break in period so my mpgs are all over the place.

I'm about 200 miles on mine, it was super good when I first got it but it's slightly worse now. So maybe I will change it back to stock but I want to wait for Borla to release their exahust first (the only company that got back to me)

You're still in the break in period. Your cars computer is still learning.
