I wish they offered the XLT with a 2.7 without 4wd. I live in Ga, very little snow. As close as I come to offroading is gravel roads or a occasional camping or fishing trip. 4wd puts the 2.7 out of my budget since I am older and retired. I know the 4wd would likely increase resale. There is a very good chance that this is my last truck at 72. I hope the truck would be a keeper for a long time.

I'm hoping that it will be made available in the 2025 RWD models, but no word yet on changes for '25.

Agree, my plan was to order a loaded up 4x2 lariat with the 2.7L V6. Ford's early brochures and literature said it would be available with the 4x2 and 4x4 as late availability. I eagerly awaited, when it did become available I was getting my stuff together to go order one so I hit the build and price and discovered ford changed there tune and required the 4x4. I was ticked. My current truck is fine, so I'll wait and see if they ever make it available in the future.

Once I'm ready to pull the trigger, not up for long wait. Looks like that would likely be the case if this configuration is available. Probably wouldn't see many of these on dealer lots, have to special order. Or, if acceptable wait times. As long as some people have waited , I would possibly buy another brand if a acceptable wait vs wait forever or, no delivery, multiple delays

Lol, yeah I was ticked as well but ordered with 4X4 anyway. Wanted the 2.7 that bad I guess.
