2025 - Ranger Raptor Oil Leak

Ordered a 2025 Ranger Raptor on 11.19.24 ,waited pateiently for months to be built and delivered. This is going to be my first new car, first truck, and first Ford. Picked her up on 04.23.25 with 16 miles on the Odometer. Drove it around the neighborhood to start the break in process. Parked in my driveway on 04.23.25 and noticed smoke coming from the engine bay on the driver side, thought possibly some packaging material got left on the exhaust and needed to be burned off. Checked under the car on 04.24.25, found oil everywhere. Brought it to the nearest Ford dealer since I ordered it from out of state. Dealer states driver side valve cover is cracked with 50 miles on the Odometer. Part is backordered through Ford, opened a case with Ford Hotline. No ETA on part. More waiting for me I guess...

Just dissappointed. Loved the truck for the approxmiatley 30 miles I drove it.

Just a heads up to anybody taking a 2025 delivery, check for oil leaks!

No problems with my 25 RR yet. About 1800 miles on it so far....

Hit or miss I guess! My 24 has almost 4K on it. Zero issues fingers crossed!

Man, I am so sorry you have to deal with this. What an absolute bummer!!!!!

Hopefully since this is right out of the gate they will jump through hoops to fix it for you in short order. Embarrassing to the dealer and to Ford.......who is trying to improve quality control.

Your post really jumped out at me since I just took ownership of a new RR 7 days ago. I absolutely just love mine......at least so far. I had been on the fence for one ever since they came out a year ago and finally pulled the plug on one.

I am curious of your build date? I did not order mine, but it was built on 3-18-2025. I have not researched just where the RR motor is built at. That might have more to do with it than the actual build date of the truck.

Yea man big bummer. I remeber when they came out/got announced, I knew immediately that this was going to be my next vehicle. My build date was 03/25/2025.

I contacted the dealer I purchased it from last week to let them know the situation, they seem to be leading the charge on this for me. Big plus for them, they've been super helpful.

As of 05/02/2025, Ford does seem to be jumping through hoops, they are currently trying to pull the part from the plant. Which I assume, means the assembly plant.

We will see what happens.
