2026 Ford Ranger Tonneau Covers Coming Soon ⏰

On March 20th I chatted with Nick on RealTruck.com about the BAK-80342 - Bak Revolver X4s Hard Roll Up Tonneau Cover. He assured me it would fit my vehicle despite it being for the 2025, he said they were the same size and sent me a link to purchase the cover. This weekend I tried installing the cover and it unfortunately does not fit. The rails for the cover go beyond the holes for the bolts and brackets and interfere with fitment. Additionally the brackets are too long and the rails sit about 1/4" above the actual bed rail tops. I called in to return it and hope to get a refund but I would like the X4s when it is ready and when it will properly fit the 2026 Ranger Raptor.

That’s funny but not really. I too called RealTruck back in January and talked with a rep. He told me that even though the BackFlip MX4 wasn’t listed for a 2026 yet, that the 2025 would fit.

After taking everything out of the box and bringing the box to the dump, I put my cover on. It took me 4 hours to fabricate new clamps amongst other things. It looks good but is definitely not the right size. Leaks like a sieve. I called them and all that happens is BackFlip techs get back to me.

It helps that RealTruck actually watches this forum.

Thanks for the heads up! I understand how that's disappointing- and frustrating- to go through the process of trying to install it just to find out it doesn't fit. And now you have to return it.... I'm truly sorry that this happened. We've let the team know about this so that in the future it can be avoided.

When you have a moment, DM me and I'll make sure your return is handled accordingly and get you on the list for the release of the X4s.

Update: RealTruck did get back to me about this. Amber & Malaney were excellent to communicate with and they are sending out a new 2026 Backflip MX4 to replace the 2025 that didn’t fit correctly. It’s nice to deal with a company that actually listens and responds so quickly. Nice job RealTruck for employing good people. These days it’s getting harder and harder to find.

please have some kind of note in the system about the '26 rangers being different so reps stop pushing products that don't fit and only work on the 24-25s

The RealTruck BAK Revolver X4s Hard Roll-Up Tonneau Cover is still in the works, along with the RealTruck BAK Revolver X4 TS Hard Roll-Up Tonneau Cover w/ T-Slot Rails.

Currently, only the RealTruck BAK Revolver X2 Hard Roll-Up Tonneau Cover is available on the website for the '26 Ranger and RR.

I have reached out to Realtruck hoping for a simple exchange to correct this. For those looking at Bakflips... Part #226342 does not fit 2026 rangers, the correct part is #226352 apparently.
