Hello everyone,
1st post but have been looking around for a little. I took ownership of a 2025 Ranger Raptor on May 13. So I was reading on how the bed lights don't come on when you open the doors and you have to turn them on with a switch inside. I decided to change that. On the passenger rear near the exhaust hanger by the hitch, therfe is a connector that has a white wire with a green tracer (stripe). This is the same wire that feeds the cargo lamp. It has 12V + when the door are open, cargo lamp is on. The two (2) bed lights have two wires each. a red (+) and black (-). I simply cut off the connector where is plugs into on the side of the frame, grounded both lights and ran a wire across the rear by the bumper over to the passenger side conncetor where the white with the green stripe wire is located. I stripped back some insulation on the wire and tied into the wire feeding the red wire on the bed lights. I soldered the wire but you could tie in whatever works for you.
Now, when I unlock the doors or turn on the lights with the switch, the bed lights come on too. It should had been this way from the factory. It makes no sense to have to open the door and activate the switch to turn omn the bed lights.
I didn't think of taking pictures till afterwards but I did take a picture of the conncetor with the wire to tie into. Remember, it is the white with green stripe. Just tie into with it. On the other end, just ground the black wire from the bed lights. Problem solved !
