Obviously not the first to do this

ford ran +12v to the connector below the power panel but didnt run it to the bed power panel.
the connector side going to the power panel is missing the pins and wires to carry the +12v
so just add them right?
let me start with this is a little more involved than you might think.
i don’t know what the pins are but i do know the comnector is a wpt-1084 and i bought one with pins and little wire seals.
i also bought a +12v to usb plug, some 14awg teflon insulated silver plated
you are going to need a crimped. Mine mostly worked but I suspect there is a specific die for this connector.
the pin has an orientation because the are two little posts that stick out. It also can be a bit fussy getting it in and takes some coaxing to go in. Ideally you would have an insertion tool. I used some tweezers.
you have to get the boot out of the existing connector and I used a paper clip and pushed from the connection side. That was also a bit more fussy than I liked.
one thing about buying the connector is that you can practice and figure it all out before you start.
i installed everything while under the truck. I double checked the voltage and polarity once I had it wired
i drilled out the panel but as look would have it my complete set of fortsner bits was missing a 1 1/8” lost some time ago so I drilled out at 1” and used sandpaper wrapped around a dowel and a drill to enlarge the hole,
I out shrink wrap over the spade connections to the usb port and ran like @rikairving, everything Inside a split plastic flex corrugated stuff which I zip tied to the existing orange stuff
i thought the bed lighting was in the power panel connector but it is not so if you can find a 24 power panel, it might be an easier install.
