Adding lighting

I wanted to add some additional bed lighting to my truck, and was thinking of just tapping the existing bed light harnesses. Likely using a T-Tap or something like that. I am concerned about warranty. I know in the USA its a bit different as you have customer protections, but anyone know how that would go in Canada? Would there be risk in doing it that way?

Also, my Lariat didn't have the advanced tow package that added the extra light in the tailgate handle. Does anyone know if that can be added on now? Just a swap of the housing, perhaps a Forscan tweak? All the wiring still there?

Grab 12v from the rear cig adapter and install a lighted rocker type switch in the bed panel. Find the bed lights wires and cut them to separate the circuits. Connect the new power source and Boom…..done. Did a similar setup in my Maverick with led strip lights.
