Ambient Lighting F150 LEDS SEMI REVIEW & QUESTIONS

Anyone install the ambient light kit from F150 LEDS? I have bought other kits from them that I really like, I am not so sure about this one. They don’t have a specific set of instructions or video instructions yet. They send info that the installation is similar to an F150 and they respond promptly to questions but…..
They refer to installing on the back bottom of the seats and there really isn’t anything to attach them to because the frame is wrapped with cloth. Wound up cutting some aluminum flat stock backed with foam to prevent rattling and wedging it under there so that I could attach them.
The little bit of instructions listed the fuse locations for various applications but none for the Ranger. Contact tells me it should plug into 34 on the BCM. Removed 30 amp fuse, plugged into that and it works!
I look at the owner’s manual and it shows 34 as being unused. Not unused (spare) like some of the others.
i have to watch the video for the instructions on controlling them with the remote, my sense tells me that they need to be turned on/off with the remote each time.
Finally, the video shows them installing a line into the console but there is no room in the Ranger console or really any access to add a string of lights inside the console so I have a strand just stuck up under the seat.

I watched the video, it seems like the lights will turn on and off at the last setting based on movement of the vehicle.

It’s par for the course with F150LEDs. The install instructions are sparse, nonexistent or don’t work with our trucks. The grill lights don’t fit unless you make major mods. I purchased the Spartan lights as ditch lights and they sent the brackets for the prior gen ranger. Requested a replacement set and received who knows what bracket. I kinda thought this was gong to be a cluster and ordered a set of FSE Titanium brackets. Fits great but the instructions are sparse. Luckily, It’s not my first rodeo with installing lights.

I bought the grill lights but didn’t want to drill 4. 1/2” holes in it. I dropped them down a row and used trim tape. I am pretty happy with them, but the week after i bought them they introduced the plug and play harness. Literally the day after i hooked them up I got the email. I also got the fender badge lights. I like the way they look. The carbonized gray XLT has no lights on the side between the front fender and tail lights.

I got the lights installed and the wires properly routed. They look pretty good and the music sync is actually kinda cool. Only issue I have at this point is that they tell you to use the fuse tap on #34 which is hot even with the key off. I need to find a slot that is switched to tap into. Any suggestions?

Moved the fuse tap to #35 and it works! Overall, I am pretty pleased with it, but I might recommend people waiting until they have a dedicated RANGER kit with appropriate instructions.​

I installed grille LED's today. I used spare fuse #139 5 amp to power them. The fuse is switched so only hot with key on which is what I wanted.
