Just wondering if anybody has made a hatch in the front fender liner for easy access to the 2.3 engine oil filter. I have been thinking about how to best create a hatch with fastener.

I haven't and wouldn't. I found it very easy to replace from the top. There are other threads which discuss oil changes.

Someone actually did make a hatch for their teuck. If you search on here, it was recently taked about, like a week or two ago. He said it worked great and ket him do the filter with an extension and ratchet.
