Bed Power Outlet - What are you powering??

I keep a deep cycle battery charged and run what I want off of it. I also charge batteries for a chain saw, tire inflator and radio equipment.

I have under the hood installed compressor, so no need to mess around with any portable thing in the power outlet

well yeah, I object on both points cause again the pure sine inverter costs nothing nowadays. and again, when the customer is the one paying, why should you really care?adding the inverter, power outlets etc costs 750$ option here. Yet, I know a bunch of people that goes around with their bikes on the truck, and who runs electric bike do complain to have no way to recharge them en-route

$100 dollars is nothing I see. I've already explained myself here. Continue to move the goal post.

Mine couldn't power a regular circular saw. Useless in my mind if you cannot power an AC power tool.

best case a circular saw is 700W, likely 1200 or more. so it will never work on this low power inverter. either you put a secondary battery and secondary inverter up, or you trade your ranger for the PHEV version that markets a 7KW inverter onboard

Just curious what uses other members have found for the bed outlet so far, and what it is capable of powering. Also, does the truck need to be running to power these things, or just accessory power?

I haven't had a chance to use mine yet, but wondering what I could plan on powering when the time comes. Some ideas:
-Coffee Maker
-Air Compressor
-Rotary Shop Fan (cooling down racecar engine bay and brakes)
-Flood Lights
-Battery Charger for ice auger
-Space Heater

What are you using yours for, and what's some creative ideas to utilize it??

After Hurricane Helene hit us in Augusta GA we used our Ford trucks to power our whole office. We had a 2000W for the front office for computers, lights, wifi, fans, and the must have coffee maker, and a 400W powering the back of the office for lights and a couple more computers! We kept this up for a whole week without any issues.

ARB. Mounted with the pirate plate and hooked up to AUX6. Works and fits perfectly
