Hey everyone! For anyone looking for a less expensive and totally removable alternative to a traditional Bedslide or Decked system, the Bedslide 500GO is a new option that does in fact fit our Rangers. For anyone who's interested, I'm happy to share my observations so far.

I had been looking for an alternative for a cargo glide. I have been torn between that and a decked system, or both. But they’re very expensive and hard to remove if I want to haul larger items.

I recently found the perfect solution for me. Home Depot sells 57 gal containers by Husky that fit perfectly in the back of the truck. Well, almost perfectly. You do have to trim the top of the side of one of the containers for it to fit perfectly. No more items sliding around. It’s like a dual deck drawer system for $100.

That's genius. Can you still get the lids on one of them for stuff you can't get wet?

It's a great idea. I looked at the totes at Home Depot this morning.

What is this a picture of ?

I got one today. I'll likely pair this with the 27G totes I already have for camping gear (x2).

Bonus, this not only got some stuff out of the cab, like the hitch and ratchet straps, but it'll be great for bringing groceries home! I'm hoping it will fit two milk crates side by side inside it.

For anyone interested, definitely watch the video on Bedslide's website (thanks @AugPal for posting).

Someone asked about the height...the floor of the drawer is 3" above the bed, and the side/back rails are 4" high (so 7" total off the bed floor).

Assembly took some trial and error because there are not instructions for our trucks. These units are adjustable "one-size-fits-all", anything from an 8' long bed on down, so you adjust the two halves of the drawer to match your truck's bed length. I found that the 56"-ish length works best. So you do "lose" a little bit of the bed length with the drawer, but you can also completely remove it, leaving no hardware or frame in the bed, so that's not a huge drawback to me.

Three more notes on assembly:
1. The drawer rolls on three rails, which are shipped in two pieces each. Because our truck beds are so short, I actually didn't use the short piece of each rail. The long piece fits perfectly for our truck length.
2. The instructions say to attach the retaining straps to the middle tie-downs in the truck bed, but that's too short for our trucks. Instead, I attached them to the tie-downs near the tailgate and adjusted the slide stops to match.
3. Make sure to mount the center rail to the "center" rather than the "offset center" set of holes.

Drawbacks:
1. it is pretty loud rolling in and out, especially when it rolls over the gap between the bed and tailgate, and when the center rail drops down to hold the drawer out when fully extended. This noise is reduced if you lift up while pulling the drawer out. I'm thinking about getting a bedrug or mat to reduce the noise, but that's even more $$.
2. Cost. At $900 retail, this is the same cost as a hard tonneau cover, so it's not cheap. But it's half the price of a Bedslide Classic with no-drill mounting bracket.

Overall, I'm really happy with this product. It allows me to load and unload things in the bed without necessarily opening the tonneau cover. Unlike a Decked system, it doesn't limit the size of what I load in there. Unlike the Bedslide Classic, I can remove it and leave the bed completely empty for loading building materials or furniture. It's cheaper than both, and won't degrade from weather and looks better than anything I could build myself. I'm sure some of you who are handier would laugh at paying so much, but for me, it's worth it.

I had only one for a while but it would slide around. Having two makes it so they don’t move at all while driving. That sounds like a good set up too!
