As a shooter the issue I have with this set up is the trigger is exposed. I see the thumb safety but for me the trigger always needs to be covered.

That little kimber is identical to My sig p938. I just drop mine upside down in the french fry holder.

I second the tackform. I bought the bulletpoint on amazon same as yours and just didn't like the look. The tack form and returned the bulletpoint. Still need to figure out a USB option for on the dash.
