The Proclip mount is great. Apparently they don't sell the mount that holds the OEM Apple Magsafe pucks anymore. That was my preference because 3rd party wireless chargers always seem to overheat the phone. Maybe its better now that magsafe has been integrated into the Qi2 standard.

I’ve never hit my hand on the mount with any orientation of hand placement. I do have an iPhone Air which is super thin, although I’d bet even a thicker phone wouldn’t have an issue either.

I was just wondering. If my phone is behind that part of the steering wheel, sometimes my finger tips hit it when turning or using the wiper stalk.

Just got my 2026 Ford Ranger and picked up a MagSafe cell phone holder. No big deal, right? Well with the textured dashboard and the slant of the windshield it was a lot more difficult than I anticipated. I don't want it to block my vision. Don't want it so far out of sight it useless. I don't want it to leave a mark. Something so easy turned into a mission. Maybe it's the cell phone holder I selected.

What did you select and how's it working for you?

Where did you put your cell phone holder.webp
Not sure if you noticed, but it looks like they installed your steering wheel upside down... that should be covered under warranty.

That said. Although I don't use a holder in this truck, I had used vent holders in previous trucks and they worked great. There's also cup holder mounts, but all the vehicles I've had seen to have cup holder too low for me to find them useful.

For those that need and use a phone holder can you explain why it's needed vs. the main center stack screen?

I think he's pulled into a cul-de-sac or some kind of circle drive, and the wheels are cut?

I had the proclip and the tackform. Like the tackform much better. The proclip felt kind of bootleg to me and I threw it out. My tackform anodizing has faded, but the product is very integrated and high quality otherwise.
