Do you have the beadlock wheels? I am realistically going to do very little to no Baja racing and serious off-roading. I just like the look of those wheels/rims. Am I dumb lol?Its cheaper to get a linex after you get the truck (its like 800 for a spray in from Ford vs $650 for the premium LineX (middle tier offering with the UV protection)) My dealer even coordinated having the local Line X place do it for me after I took the truck. Only benefit of the ford spray in, is they add a big ford logo on the bulkhead that looks neat if you are in to that.
You cant add keyfobs, it does come with 2 though, unless you mean you wanted the keypad on the door. 25s wont have the option for the keypad from the factory anymore (which would be painted body color) and its a dealer option only for 25 (will be black plastic).
Most people dont like those beadlock wheels for the soul issue that the valve stem is difficult to get to, but otherwise are fine. I would simply shop around and find dealers with them on lots (there are still a lot on lots) and get MSRP. Recent posts in florida I think have most of them above, but if you shop around outside of the state youll easily find one. 25 updates/orderguide I think are suppose to be released sometime this month.
As far as ordering goes, just because you order a 25, doesnt mean itll ever get made. The dealer will need to get an allocation. Allocations are based upon dealer sales. Raptor Allocations are different then Ranger allocations. Id just confirm with whatever dealer you order from that they get a steady influx of any Raptors through out the year.
Once an order is placed, and the dealer has an allocation, the dealer will assign a priority code. Priority cods are controlled by the DEALER. They will be between 5-19. Lower is better. The priority code can be changed by the dealer at any time. If they dont tell you when you order, you can simply ask them, some dealers are weird about giving it out, but you can demand to know. Generally as long as the code isnt a 19, you are fine, though at the start they put you at a 19 since they wont be built for awhile.
Regardless of the priority code stuff, if the dealer never gets an allocation it will never get built. You can look around the forum and see lots of examples of people waiting a long time on initial orders and such. The good news is for 25s, Ford is back to about 15k trucks a quarter compared to last year where they were at about 7k trucks a quarter so waits for 25s shouldnt be as bad in general as 24s.
Also when the 25 order date comes up, The order banks dont open till that evening. Ford doesnt tell people this just the day it happens. So its generally best to go in the day after or late in the evening. Waiting a few days wont hurt anything in the long run.
