I was just rear ended (guy on his phone). I was at a stop and he was traveling 15mph (ish). I have no damage except where my solid steel tow hitch cover smashed into his car. I’m slightly concerned the tow hitch buckled the frame?

I’m trying to assess frame damage and of course, collision centers want to disassemble everything.

I have a few pictures (see below) of the area I am concerned about. There’s a strange intention on both sides of the RR’s frame.

I’m asking if Raptor members can take a look at their personal vehicles to see if they have the same invention in the frame! Then I can sleep well again…

Only real way is like the collision centers said it needs to be taken apart to see if any damage you can't see.

Also, @DinoBirdClaws88, step back from your Ranger and have a look for symmetrical factory gaps. Also, for sumptin that is catawampus. You can always park next to a new Ranger and compare. Then, decide if a collision center is necessary.

This is from my experience AFTER a body repair shop did a front-collision repair. Irregular gaps around the headlights and grill. You'll have a more critical eye for spotting damage.
