Hey all, I've been in contact with a DiamondBack Rep since around April regarding their covers and they are now available to purchase! I just ordered mine; a DiamondBack SE, smooth black with preinstalled cleats. Do know, the HD will not be available due to the bed design, and there are no applicable crossbins yet available either. Regardless, looks like the the SE, 180 and 270 are now available! Happy ordering.

Well talk about a let down. I’ve been waiting for the HD, as I will put more than 400lb on top (with j braces of course ?). Why would the HD be any different than the others?! Im not understanding that. Are they just not selling it because of the J brace issue? All they need to do is put a disclaimer out there saying we need to install them if we load more than X lbs without j braces installed. Was really hoping to order and make use of the $400 off Black Friday sale. Color me annoyed.

Look at the Renegade Covers they hold up to 2000 lbs. The only bad thing about them is they take 25 weeks to fulfill your order. They are also pretty expensive.

The reason they aren't making an HD for the Ranger Raptor is because the payload for the truck is less than what that cover is rated for. That is what the rep I talked to gave as an explanation at least. Makes sense for liability reasons I suppose

yeah I had this same conversation with them, but I pointed out to them that they make the HD for the Short bed Tacoma and the majority of those trims have payload capacities in the 1400 range. Only the 4cyl rear wheel long beds get up over the 1600 lbs that the diamondback is rated for. They had no answer for that…

My Raptor is at the dealer having the J-braces installed this morning. I have the Diamondback SE being delivered next Tuesday. If it's warm enough to get it installed (Minnesota... currently -1), I'll take some pics next week.
