In the winter, my 5' tall wife slipped on the icy board - not good. She has mastered getting in and smiles when she's nested into her seat. I'm 6'2" and hated wiping the back of my leg across them.
The flaps keep more slop off the truck then the boards did. Also dropped an easy 50 lbs. - looks better (to me).
