my tailgate sits at slight incline when the tailgate is down.. Rear edge maybe ~1/2" higher than main bed. The right side red cord (by shock absorber) is taught and its metal tab rotates and hits its stop-tab. Left side red cord not taught. Left side has some slack even when I sit on the tailgate. Looks like the right side is taking all the weight.

normal? Can it be adjusted? The tailgate gaps look pretty good when tailgate is closed and upright.

Mines level, but the red cord on the left is slightly more slack than the right, which is tight. I think this is normal

Can be adjusted by the hinge brackets on the bottom side edge of the tailgate. However, you’ll need to crack the paint to loosen the bolts. I would take it to a dealer to adjust incase of any issues. Does it sit flush when closed?

Hey there, could you elaborate on this for me? Are you saying the hinge brackets where the tailgate attach to the bed are adjustable?
