Not sure why it posted before I could add body text. These look great, but the install was pretty annoying. As I already knew, the lights donāt fit at all. I donāt mind them sticking out a tad (as shown here), so I didnāt bother with a dremel.
You also canāt fit a 1/2ā drill bit into the grill housing to put in the hole for the light wires. I ended up having to just chip away at it with a 3/8ā bit until the cables went through.
Once that was done, it came time to connect the harness to the side marker lights. In the video, the guy just drops the harness down and *poof* itās right where it needs to be (on a ā24 XLT). On the Raptor, I needed to shift part of the panel inside the wheel well just to be able to get at the wiring harness once I dropped it down. From there, I could easily splice into the side marker light wiring. Pain in the ass, but worth it, even if Iām a little annoyed at F150 LEDs for advertising these as āRanger Raptor Grill Lightsā.
This was a bit easier (once I managed to get the harness down there) than soldering and all that. Iām a novice when it comes to anything electrical, so apart from the actual process of getting everything where it needed to be, tapping into the side marker wires with the provided hardware couldnāt have been easier.
