Its a NVH pad. There is currently no service part #.
That is exactly what my dealer’ service tech told me last week when I took my RR in for window recall and tune install. He said it was meant to be there and to stay there.

That's what I was thinking because the one guy said it had 4 push pins holding it in. Glad I didn't yank mine yet because now it's staying.

Here's how you find out. Go to your parts counter guy at the dealership and tell him where the part in question is located at on the vehicle. He'll pull up a picture of the area, and if it's a part of the vehicle, it will have a part number and part name on it. That's what I did for the A pillar driver's side, grab handle. You can order them. The reason I didn't order a grab handle was because I don't know if my airbag will function to save my life, or even if it will fit with the airbag there. They sell it because they put 'em on the ranger raptors in different countries, because in different countries, their crash test standards ars lower than in the US.
Actually the Euroencapp test is harder to past than the American crash test. The F150 has grab handles on the driver side so I guess in your thinking it is unsafe to put them there. Its was a cost thing as to why the grab handles were removed and nothing else. Its the same thing with the lack of rear air vents, pop out dash cup holders and no auto 4wd in the Lariat. Ford built the Ranger to a price point and did not want to hurt F150 sells. In North America the Ranger is the step child and will always be treated so.

Here's all the parts for the grab handle you can buy and try to put on if you want. Let us all know if they work with the airbag.

The picture shows the right hand grab handle but these part numbers are for the left hand passenger side, grab handle, black, just like the ranger raptor.
