Ford Ranger 24, Bluetooth calls glitches

Hello. I have Ford Ranger 2024 and I'm having issues with Bluetooth calls. The phone is Samsung Galaxy S24 ultra, up to date.

I'm using only Bluetooth connection. NOT android auto, albeit the issue is the same with AA. Haven't tried USB connection, the point is to have it working wirelessly.

When I start the car, phone connects to the car head unit just fine. If I make a call it works just fine. The problem is receiveing calls. I answer the call via steering wheel button, but the caller can't hear me, or the audio is crackling with static. Unusable really.

The workaround is to switch to phone speaker or to turn off Bluetooth on the phone and immediately turn it on. The rest of the call works fine. Also all subsequent calls work fine. I have to do this once every time I drive the car.

I've tried resetting phone, car head unit, resetting Bluetooth connection, resetting settings, but it just happens again and again. Also I tried to setup a routine (receiving a call turns off Bluetooth then turn it back on - but this doesn't work).

Does anyone have any ideas or fixes?

Quite a few people have the same issue. There are multiple threads on this topic. I have a feeling that those with the BO sound system have it worse. Those models have an onboard modem in addition to the bluetooth. Most cell phones can transmitt and receive calls via both. Combine that with the fact that there are multiple systems in the truck sending and receiving signals and you have a formula for disaster. Ford needs to isolate the problem so we can use our cell phones.

I am in the same boat as LeeHo. I bought my 2024 Ranger a few months ago and the people I call all report that there is background noise that sounds like static or rain and that they can hardly hear me. On top of that, even when I press the voice command button and ask "Please call my wife on cell", almost 100% of the time the response I get is that I have to repeat my command. The only time I can reliably get a good response is if I am parked with no background sounds.

I have driven Ford trucks for years with this functionality (and the same phone for the last 6 months on my previous truck) and I am very unhappy to have this with a brand new truck. B&O sound system, Samsung Galaxy 24 Ultra. Open to any ideas!
