so as i see there are 2 options.
1. you keep the tuned ecu installed and switch with the included calibration tool to stock
2. you install the oem ecu but each time you switch between the ecu s you need to make the PATS( Passive anti theft system or so) reset. thats maybe not so easy for everyone as you need an passthrough diagnostic tool(not standard obd)and the right software or someone who can make it for you.
When installing the tuned ecu, do you need to make pats as well? In this case installation process cannot be done at home, right?

If you have or can get an J2534 pass thru device then BPT can do it remotly.(it is included one time service )
I could not get one or borrow one so i paid an local service guy... personally i paid around 65eur in my country but as i know its also not a big deal or expensive in EU countries.
(also every ford dealer can do that)

Hello, I'm from Chile, I have a Euro 6 Ranger Raptor, with European regulations in Chile with 288hp, with this unlocked ECU is it just a matter of plugging and unplugging or do I need something additional with the BTP Performance ECU? I was looking at the BPT page with the 400hp ECU, I'm happy with it, but my question is, is it just a matter of plugging and unplugging or do I need something additional? Although it's a high price, it's worth it... but it's the only thing for now, it seems... can you help me so I don't make the mistake of not being compatible?

Hi Alex,
Yes, they did not answer my email either. But by phone they answered all my questions.. if you want the unlocked ECU, they have a delay shipping the product about three weeks. According to them, It is compatible with the European RR, and should not give you any kind of error message. There is no need to remove the GFE, so perhaps it would be possible to pass the ITV inspections. Otherwise you would have to either swap BPT’s and stock ECUs, OR reset the BPT ECU with the stock’s parameter every time you have to go for inspection. PAT reset is needed with all resets (or that is what I Understood, although I do not get it as the car VIN is set in the BPT ECU). Hope this helps

I’m from Costa Rica and we get the same 288HP limited just like you in Chile and Colombia too. I’m okay with just getting the original 400hp and I think that a flash tune from BPT will address that, however; I have some follow questions before ordering… The the flash tune is cheaper than changing the whole ECU.

The above graph is history :) Recently I made a new exhaust + program correction and now I am happy with the results :) The total cost of all changes in terms of increasing the power is about 10k Euro.

After several months with the tune, what’s been your experience so far? How was the ECU installing and programming? I’m in Costa Rica and we get the 288hp version so most likely I’ll have to order one of these tunes down here… I’d like to hear from your experience and process.

- you have the 500hp version with everything else stock?
- how easy is the installation? anything special? can you do it yourself?
- future Ford updates can be applied?
- consumption before and after?

Moc na hamowni pokazała 518 KM. Oprócz wymiany komputera silnika (trzeba go dołożyć do auta - ja zrobiłem to w ASO) mam wydajniejszy intercooler FENIX z rurami + wkład filtra powietrza K&N + nowy układ wydechowy CATBACK. Nie można robić aktualizacji!!!!
