FordPass activation and OTA issues

Hi all,

encountered an issue with the FordPass activation and I think the OTA updates.

managed to make a Ford account and add my vehicle there, but when I went for the FordPass app, I can’t activate it at all and I get a prompt that my vehicle seems to be part of a fleet. I also read on different threads and other forums that it might be why I’m not receiving any updates OTA… and yet everything seems to be working, connectivity wise.
Miss a factory reset of the SYNC, and got a new option for remote start showing up but that’s it, still can’t activate the FordPass.

I’m a little baffled and will try to give a call to Ford support for this.
Will keep you posted in case anyone is facing the same issue.

Alright, little update about all this

been bounced around thru different customer supports in different parts of the world and nobody can do anything about this.
Turns out that the prompt received in the FordPass app is because I have a FordPass USA account, and FordPass isn’t available at all in the Middle East with plans to bring it soon… or not. Nothing is confirmed.
But the raptor is registered as private and not fleet, I’ve managed to confirm that much with the dealership.
So for now, just need to wait on future developments and on the ordered J braces (thanks EGR !) before I can start my build and set out for some desert camping.

Just a thought.. Have you tried using a VPN on your hotspot that lets you choose a different location?
