This has been a fairly beat up issue with minimal resolve, I’ve searched quite a bit in here but can’t seem to find a definitive answer. I’m about to just YOLO it, but wanted to see if anyone with more knowledge can see an issue with this. I got a line on a nice bedrack with a few different mounting options, and hoping someone can tell me if it’ll work or not.
As for j braces, it LOOKS like I have the “updated” bed design that was mentioned. With a 10/24 build date.
My plan is to mount this rack with a roll up underneath. I’ll attach some photos of the mounting options. (They do not use the stake pockets)
My concern though is the hollow bed caps bending/breaking under load. But at the end of the day, as long as the rack is solid I’m not too fussed about the bed rails.
Thoughts??
