Got my Raptor ( kind of )

Hi everybody,
So, I had A Raptor on order from my dealer placed in early June... I was doing daily checks on its status when I noticed that the " in production " date changed from the week of Aug 13 to the end of Sept...So, I called my salesman and asked him what was up and of course he had no idea and would ask his inventory manager... he didn't know anything about it either.
I did notice that my dealer had another Raptor in stock same color with a couple of more options... asked about it and was told it was on hold.
About 20 minutes later my salesman called me back and told me that the sale fell through... well long story short I brought her home Monday... I got very lucky...

that's sort how I got mine, took my F150 for inspection and on the lot was RR. Need to say no more I got it

Glad you worked out a solution without as much of a wait. I'm also going to Plan B after the one I ordered has yet to ship after 6 weeks of built status. Cancelled my order with original dealer yesterday and will be driving one from Nevada home ~800 miles Saturday morning after sealing the deal tomorrow night. I'm also ending up with a couple options I didn't order but can live with (bead lock capable wheels and graphics package).

Same here my order had mud flaps and sib...this one has bead locks and graphics, but I'm not complaining.

I dont see how you were "lucky" per say. Your truck would of shown up regardless. They had not been scheduling any raptor production in August, its all in September so you would of gotten it had you just waited. Regardless enjoy though.

Was that commentary necessary? Sounds like he was in the right place at the right time to get an even better truck than he was waiting for. If that's not in the definition of luck then idk what is. Especially with trade-in values dropping as fast as they are, waiting is only going to increase notes.

And also you're incorrect, Raptors were most certainly scheduling for August considering I'm looking at an order right now that was Scheduled for the week of 8/5, is currently marked as In Production, and has a blend date of 8/11.

No... I do feel lucky, some guys here have been in the waiting game for over a year, with some giving up all together... My build got pushed back and a another truck basically fell in my lap I consider that luck...

anybody with a new Ranger Raptor is entitled to feel lucky...anybody who says otherwise should go back to driving something else.
