Been researching and doing some math with the tire and wheel specs the past few days. Ordered the Rims off eBay today.

I am going with these factory Ford Bronco SAS 17”x8.5 +30 offset bead lock capable rims.

‘I think they look good on my Bronco. Very similar design to the OEM Ranger Raptor wheels coming on my Ranger Raptor. However really not liking the way they look in the RR +55 offset. I think the +30 from the Bronco looks much better with that deeper offset look.

Same wheels on my Bronco only with 35” tall 12.5 wide tires.

I am going to order the tires next week.
‘I am going with a 34” tall 12” wide Yokohama X-AT LT305/70R17 load range E (10 ply)

I think this should all work without rubbing, without any poke, setting perfectly flush, with a slightly larger tire both in height and width, overall should give my new RR the stance I am after.

In this video this combo is 315 or 12.5 wide 35” tall tire on a +25 offset.
This truck has a very slight poke. My setup should be .7 narrower netting o.35 less poke.

‘This guys setup is also a 315 only his wheel offset is +35.
This setup is near flush. The 315 tire is putting his combo 1/4 further out but the extra 0.05 added offset cancels that out. This should be very close to my combo In terms of flush or poke.

Is anyone running a similar size 305/70R17 34”tall 12”wide tire?
Would love to see some pics and know for sure the 34s will clear with 100% stock suspension.

I am thinking I may chicken out on the 305 and back that tire size down to 295/70R17.
Still same Yokohama tire.
1/2” narrower and 1/2” shorter.

Found some pics of 295/70R17s , I believe the rims on this truck are a +25 offset.
Those wheel wells look pretty full, stance looks good, with this 295 +25 setup.
Thinking no reason to push a potential rubbing issue or getting poke I don’t want.
If I can get it to look this good.

Here is the stock tire spec if anyone is interested.
I find it helps with math to sort out what I want to do, to know what exactly it comes with.

Vs
these two specs I am trying to decide on.

Found this website that has a pretty nice gallery of 6G RR with custom wheels and tires.
I find looking over pics of different setups with different tires and wheel offsets in particular very informative when researching the right stance or look that I am wanting to create.

Order some Ford center caps to replace the Bucking bronco caps.
Fingers crossed they fit and look good on those Bronco SAS rims.

Also order some Ford TPMS sensors also fingers crossed they read and all goes well with these as well.

I did find a few pictures of a mounted Yokohama 295/70R17 tires.
They are on a Jeep but I do like seeing pictures of the actual tire I am getting mounted and not some generic stock picture.

I ran those Yoko X-ATs on my Bronco. Really great tire overall with one caveat which was they were slippery on wet tarmac and would hydroplane and spinout from a stop. Off-road they performed great for an ATX.

I live in the PNW so had to switch them out but if you're in a drier area I think they would be great.

Thanks for the heads up.

I had a similar problem with a Toyo open country tire a while back and that was when I had switched to running Falken AT3s on all my trucks and my Bronco, but Falken didn't offer the At3 or the new At4 in that 295/70R17 size I was looking for.

I really wanted to go with Falkens.

I have had good luck with Yokohama in the past, but it those were older Geolander ATs. I guess if these X-ATs give me wet traction problems maybe Falken will come out with more sizes or something else will turn up in the 295/70R17.

Or maybe I will figure out I could have cleared the 305s and look at other options in that size as well.

Center caps and TPMS sensors came in today.
Wheels are tracking for Monday.
Tires were supposed to be coming in today at Discount Tire.

Just a shame my truck is not here, and sounds like the truck was pushed back from first week in April ETA to last week in April ETA.

I will probably go ahead and get them all mounted up and ready to go next week.
I will post up some completed pics later next week.

Also completed pics on the truck whenever the truck gets here.

I was considering going with 305/70R17. A buddy of mine runs that size Toyo AT3 on his F150. But after looking to see what other brands made that size I realized that size is only available in Load Range E. I want to stick with Load Range C for the nice cushy ride.
The stock F150 Raptor tires 315/70R17 measure 34.4". I probably couldn't fit those without suspension mods? I won't even have my truck for a few weeks so I'll just wait until I get it to decide on tire swaps.

Yea, I am trying to avoid disturbing the suspension system. That Fox live vale system has a lot of sensors and stuff that do not like being relocated. As I understand it, lifting can get tricky with that type of suspension system and all the sensors.

315/70R17 is essentially a 35x12.5R17, which as I understand it 35s will require a lift and contending with those sensors on the fox live valve system.

So, my goal has been to try and come up with the largest size tire height and width.
I wanted to use a +30 to +35 rim to push the wheel out just a bit compared to the Oem +55 it comes with. Wanting to get the stance to flush as possible without any poke, which I don’t want the mud and or stone damage that poke tends to cause.

I didn’t see any 305/70R17 or 295/70R17 offered in a C , mostly all E 10 ply rated.
‘I would rather have C for weight, and ride. The added weight of the E does affect performance and fuel mileage. If I had to go C then the OE BFGs in the oe 285 is likely the best option.

I think the stock 285 width with +30 wheels looks good on my Ranger Raptor. What I don't like is the tire height. I've ordered a set of 285/75r17 C-rated TOYO AT3 tires; they have exactly the same height as 305/70 ones.

Following for when you get these on your truck since I will want to throw Duratracs on pretty quickly, especially if 295/70-17 will fit. I don't think I can stomach another set and generation of KOs that fall apart and horribly disappoint on forest service roads and in the winter after being burned by both KOs and KO2s.
