Intercooler whistle

24 Ranger XLT 2.3L. Just installed the cvfab intercooler and now a whooshing sound when it’s cold or downshifting, accelerating. Have the cvfab cold/hot pipes and K&N cai. Cvfab says there’s a leak in the system, my mechanic says it’s normal and all connections are tight. Mechanic says it’s extra air entering the cai and escaping the Bov. Like adding a gallon of air instead of a pint with factory intercooler. Anyone else hear of this or have this issue?

You described what might be escaping air pressure from the turbocharger. Check the intake hose for three things: loose hose clamp, cracked hose, damaged intake hose seal. If all is good, the new intercooler might be damaged. All I can think of.
