Interior lights dont come on when unlocking with key fob or opening door. over head console switch is in middle position. This is a new 2025 Ranger XLT, FX4. Can any one help?

When was the last time you started the engine it took it for a drive ? If it’s your daily driver then it might be worth getting your battery checked

Its been sitting for a week. Bought it new 2 months ago. I was thinking it was a low battery thing because it doesn't do it after I have driven it. Do they run the battery down that fast with all the back ground electrical stuff. when it happens it starts right up, does not act like the battery is low. maybe I have a bad battery.

Yup same happened to me as I don't drive Daily.
If it isn't used for several days it goes into battery saving mode and the interior lights don't come on. Just start or put into acc mode.
I do trickle charge if not driven for say 5 or more days.
