Hello everyone,
I’m having an issue with my 2024 Ford Ranger Raptor 2.0 Diesel.
The “chime” or welcome sound that normally plays when I turn on the ignition (power on or engine start) has suddenly stopped working.
Here’s what happened:
A few weeks ago, I tried installing a start-stop (auto stop & go) module and temporarily disconnected some fuses and wiring around the BCM area.
After that, I removed the module and restored everything back to its original state.
Since then, the power-on / engine start chime sound has disappeared.
It seems like the IPC (Instrument Panel Cluster) or BCM may have muted or disabled the chime function after that module was installed.
Could this be fixed by performing an IPC module reset or reinitialization using FORScan or IDS?
Or is there a specific configuration (As-Built data) related to the “Power On Chime” that I should check?
Any advice or experience would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!

- Battery voltage is normal (no low-voltage issues).
- All other sounds (indicator, seatbelt, parking sensor, audio, etc.) are working fine.
- No DTCs related to IPC or BCM were found on FORScan.
- I already tried battery disconnection and fuse reinsertion, but the chime still doesn’t return.
