While it should be a no-brainer for Ford, can anyone confirm the Ranger Raptor will be at the LA Auto Show (starting at the end of this week) like it was at the Detroit Auto Show at the end of September? Thanks in advance!

Hopefully it is, and not that lame ugly thing that was the only RR at SEMA. Can’t wait for some more press videos of people actually driving them, but at this point we might actually get our trucks before the in depth reviews come out lol.

Well, after watching a number of LA Auto Show highlights videos on Youtube, I finally saw what I was looking for...a Ranger Raptor in the background of one of the shots. So snagged a ticket to went down to see the purchase in person (pics and video attached). First impressions:
1) It's even better looking in person
2) The interior dimensions were a bit smaller than what I expected; my first truck was a 1986 Ranger so I know compact trucks, and this didn't feel a ton bigger. It was only a hair wider than my Audi SQ5 and only felt like it had a little more room in the back seat than the SQ5. This is a bit of a concern for me having a family of four and a pup. Given I will be driving this most of the time in an urban setting (at least during the work week!) and I get a topper to carry gear and the pup on the weekends, I convinced myself it will be fine. I have to say though, the 2024 F-150 Tremor right next to the Ranger Raptor (see attached video) was damn nice and if it was near the same price (she came in at $76k), I would have seriously considered switching my order.
3) It definitely needs a leveling kit, and 285/75s (over the stock 285/70) would make it look much better
4) And speaking of looking nicer, bye bye stock running boards
5) The front of the bed, in the gap between the bed and cab, isn't fully painted (I didn't get a picture). It seemed like a major oversight/error on this truck, but I talked to a corporate Ford guy—it took way(!) longer than it should have find to someone associated with Ford that actually had any in-depth knowledge of the trucks—and he said it was not an error, and it's "just they way they come". He said he has also previously pointed this out seemingly simple error to fix to folks at Ford. I ordered mine in Carbonized Grey, so I'm hoping this isn't as noticeable as the Blue Metallic.
5) As others have mentioned, I'm not sure the material of the front seats will stand years of wear and tear. The material already looked a bit tired/stretched.

Overall, a beautiful truck that looks incredibly capable. I just wish they would have had one available to drive in the Off-Roadeo park, instead of just Broncos.

I wish I lived closer so I could've seen it in person, since Velocity Blue is the color I chose.

I can't say I like the factory running boards, but I own a condo and have a shared garage, so anything to prevent the neighbor, who can't seem to learn how to park in the garage, from opening their doors on it.

They hate my Bronco because of how wide it is and the rock-rails/ steps I put on it. ?
