Our FP tuned RR has done none of this...40k miles.

Interesting notion. I never use cruise or any of that sort of stuff... old school... so Im not that familiar with the controls, but perhaps the OP hit one of the steering wheel buttons by mistake, perhaps thinking he invoke R mode or something. When my new to me RR had the tolerance setting at max around 20mph it would suddenly accelerate to over 80 mph when at cruise set at 68 mph for no reason. Setting it back to center stopped it. Never had cruise turned on at stop during that time.
When my transmission was still learning, even in normal mode that shift was inappropriately violent and poorly timed. In the wet or in mixed winter conditions, there would have been no way to safely drive the truck. That lurch was easily enough to break traction under those conditions. My truck is new and I just did the FP tune. While the trans is learning i have to be careful in sport mode as sometimes it downshifts so aggressively when slowing it will lunge forward and I need to pay attention to the braking. I assume that will improves as it learns, I am only a half tank into the tune.
I don't have the FP Tune in my RR yet, but in Sport mode when it downshifts it will also lunge forward sometimes. So that's not a unique to the FP Tune issue. My truck is new and I just did the FP tune.
