Raptor Rear A/C + HEAT Options - Latest Info

Hello everyone!

I’m new to the forum. I am about to strip my interior (seats, panels, headliner, and carpet) for a complete soundproofing project. Since everything will be out, it feels like the perfect time to upgrade the rear HVAC system.
Before I jump in, I need some clarity on a couple of things:

• Do I need to replace the entire front HVAC box, or can I connect the rear lines directly to the factory unit? (If a total replacement is required, I won't be doing the upgrade).
• Why can't the new rear ducts simply tap into the existing floor duct connections?

Looking at the video of the disassembly it looks like the floor vents are not used and the rear console vent is connected instead. Maybe the flow of the console vent is going to take away too much from the floor vents and the openings might need to be capped for the center vent to actually have decent A/C. The center looks capped on our trucks from the Ford pics, there is not a lot of detail in these PDFs so I looked at Fords HVAC disassembly instructions and found the best pictures that show where the duct would connect.

The part numbers are the “B” parts in the parts diagrams. 18C420B N1WB-19E766-BB 18C433B N1WB-18C433-BA 19B680 N1WB-E018B84-AA 19893 N1WB-19C570-AE

Also need the back console panel, don’t see a part number for that anywhere, (2)5x15mm bolts and (2)push pins

The video takes apart way too much that is not required for just the center console, almost all the dash doesn’t need to be touched except two bolts. Here are the pics that are from Ford.

Between the #3’s is where the rear duct connects, the second pic is clearer and shows the angled plug in the center. I don’t see the floor ducts in the video, they are green in the first pic.

For those of us living in the US, getting these parts through local dealerships seems difficult. The dealership I checked with in Michigan couldn't find anything using the global part numbers.

Until we can find a reliable source to either import them or buy them locally, parts availability is going to be an issue.

You can find the entire rear panel with register and the last angled vent tube on eBay sold as the rear vent register part number or just the rear panel without the other 2 pieces both will require cutting a hole for the 120v plug. The other parts I asked a Thai eBay seller to find and he responds back quick, about $163 total for the long tube and front angled connector. I need the 2 push pins and should find out if the parts are all that will be needed. Unknown if the underseat vent needs a cap or not. I have not seen anyone with rear vents check if they have them on their truck.

If you need help finding someone to order from overseas let me know, I have 2 sellers that I ordered other parts from and they seem willing to look them up.

I'm fully aware of the modifications needed for the 120V outlet and am fine with cutting the hole to make it work. As I mentioned in my first post, my plan is to strip the cab down to the bare metal for complete soundproofing anyway. Doing the install while everything is pulled out would be the perfect time to run the new components, provided I can source them in time.

Please keep me updated on everything you find regarding sources for all the parts. I am definitely interested in doing this upgrade and will gladly report back to the group with my progress and results.

Also, if you don't mind sharing the contact info or links for those two overseas sellers you've used before, that would be awesome—especially if they can help confirm whether the underseat vent needs a cap or if these are all the pieces I'll need.
