Request for heater check on your XL?

Hi All:

Having issues with my cabin heat in that whenever I select the hi fan setting my outlet air temp falls to ambient and the coolant outlet of the heater core also falls to ambient.

If anyone is willing, with an XL, set your temp to max and blower to max for one minute and note what happens?

Does it maintain a hot airflow or does it fall off to ambient temp?

Any help here greatly appreciated.

Once i set my heat to hot and fan to full, it was hot the whole trip home.

I wonder if you have a blend door controller issue?

Thanks, great feedback and thanks for doing that for me. Blend door has already been looked at. Having an issue where the coolant outlet temp (from the heater core) falls to ambient, which I believe is the driver here. Just trying to sort out what others are seeing.

it does it idling and driving? those blend doors are not vacuum controlled anymore, are they? if they were vacuum i would assume a vacuum issue

yes, either. However, this is a water side issue for this particular problem. Dealer has tried to repair 3x already and #4 scheduled. Just trying to determine what right looks like (i.e. heater core inlet and outlet temps for a correctly functioning unit).

147 on outlet hose
162 on inlet hose

Took pics to show exactly where to shoot.
