Slide-in Truck Camper

Greetings!

I am looking at a couple of options for a slide in, hard-sided truck camper. (Not a huge fan of pop-ups)
I will likely get an empty 5' - 6' Fiberglass shell type camper and build it out.
Weights are ~550lbs for a basic midsize shell. (similar to a Scout TukTuk or Total Composites)

Since the wheel wells are 48" apart, I was thinking of getting a larger 5.5" for extra floor width, since most midsize are quite narrow. (48" vs 41")

Has anyone used a wider floor camper in their ranger? Pics and tips would be appreciated.

Just FYI. I recall seeing slide-in campers mentioned in owner manual and sure enough under Load Carrying,
USING A SLIDE-IN CAMPER

We do not recommend using your pickup
for carrying a slide-in camper.
