that sounds great, how did you contact them to help you?

I called the Ford Customer service line and they funneled me through and I got a nice lady that documented the problem I was having and assured me it would be addressed and by the next mooring all was good. The problem was the car not communicating with Ford for the Ford Pass and PAAK system. Not sure if the Ranger will have the PAAK or not (Phone As A Key) I use the key fobs on my Mach E but if you do the phone and you go to drive the car without your phone it will prompt you for a security code and then it will let you drive without a Key Fob or Phone which could be good in an emergency. I really like the Sync 4A system way better then the Sync 3 that is in my current ranger.

We rented a 2023 Edge while on a trip last week. It had the same screen setup as the 2024. It worked very well.

We have a 2021 Nautilus now with Wireless CarPlay. It's a little flaky, but been getting better. I am never quite sure if it is the phone or the car messing it up. Lately, it's been the phone.

Great screen though not the greatest UI and a bit laggy. Rumour has it that an OTA UI update is coming. There's a few videos of the Thai trim 'Stormtrak' with the newer interface.

*edit: just noticed that the US built demos have the newer UI too.

Looking at youtube reviews all I've noticed so far is a (much needed) permanent camera shortcut and updated icons.

The camera shortcut is Great but one other feature the Mach E has and hopefully the Ranger will is when you get close to something like a curb (front rear or side) when going slow the camera automatically turns on which is real cool. The only other major change was they moved everything around and took out the Larger Cards (app icons at the lower part of the screen) that displayed the Tire Pressures etc. I have complained to Ford about it and they said they have lots of complaints and it will be added back in a future update.

Does anyone know if the Phone as a Key feature is available in the Aus spec Ranger?

And how do updates work? I get they are over the air but what if you are in a region not supported per se? Not sure if my country is yet.. is there anyway to manually update them with a USB drive or something?

That is very cool! Same as in the LX450d/570. It turns on the cameras when slow or when it detects curbs.

I hope the FORScan guys figure something out for us to enable such features!

I've got my order in for a 24 Lariat and I've seen a lot of people throwing shade on the tech package in the 2024; however, for me it was a Huge selling point...granted most of the ones I've seen doing it on reddit have a 90's era ranger but still. Nothing wrong with progress!
