2025 Lariat 4x4 37k miles. Usually at highway speeds but sometimes slower I find the steering doesn’t self center when going around a curve or even just changing lanes. I have to center it myself and usually there is resistance initially. This can sometimes result in me swerving in my lane as I have to correct both directions. I can’t recall if it has always been like this or just started happening the last few months and I suddenly grew conscience of it. Has anyone else felt this in their truck? I haven’t had any issues with it otherwise aside from the never ending recalls. Have never hit anything, no big potholes that I’m aware of, tire pressure is 35 all around. All lane keeping stuff is turned off. It tracks straight when the steering wheel is centered, but if I turn the wheel for a curve and let go it just continues on making the curve until i center the wheel myself.

If it’s happening all the time my first thought is a simple wheel alignment is needed.

don’t need to hit anything for the alignment to drift. How’s your tire wear look? Even thread wear across the whole surface? Even wear across all 4 tyres?

tire wear is perfect and it tracks perfectly straight with the wheel centered. It doesn’t happen all the time, probably 50% of the time

My 24 Ranger does this after driving a 1/2 hour on the freeway . Steering has a tight spot turning left about 11 o'clock. I took it to the dealer they tell me nothing is wrong.

The dealer tells me that the Rack and pinion unit is backordered till the end of September does that mean there not making them or a whole bunch of bad ones out there
