Stuck on Aux Switch Install (M-9100-RA)

Has anyone installed the Ford Performance Aux Switches for a 2025 XLT?

The instructions - hieroglyphs - are not particularly helpful. Ford is trying to get me to buy the factory shop manual.

I’m stuck on step 12, no idea where the violet A5 male connector goes.

It looks like the kit includes a new connector, parts labeled D and E in step 12. The A5 wire goes into one side and the wire you pulled from pin 13 in step 11 goes in the other side.

Thanks! Yeah, they updated it in May 2026 but couldn’t even make a note for changes in the 2025.

There is no wire in Pin 13 for the 2025 XLT (it’s the purple/gray wire on the white board). I’d misread the directions and put the violet female wire from the aux switch harness in pin 13

Once I realized that the only thing A4 and A5 do is illuminate the switch when it’s off, I didn’t bother with it.

Probably stupid to blow Ford points on OEM aux switches, but they’re a lot nicer than the aftermarket ones I looked at (I’m keeping this truck until it dies).

Does your switch still illuminate when you turn an aux switch on? mine does, but does not have backlight even with the purples are jumpered together.

Yeah, the aux on light draws directly from the circuit.

You might need to call Ford performance. allegedly it’s a different pin entirely to get the backlight working.

Not sure what it is though since I didn’t bother with the backlight.
